- Both teaser trailers tell us very little about the narrative or storyline of the film, exposing close to nothing about what the film has in store. Rather the purpose of both teaser trailers is to allow viewers to feel the sense of anticipation for the long awaited film; in both cases the film being a sequel, whether that be part of a 50-year-old franchise or the second instalment after a 14-year period. The teaser trailer is released to remind the viewer this film will be released in several months time, allowing the viewer to express their excitement on social media, or to friends to share the eagerness and excitement for the films release. The teaser trailers are different in the sense that, the first displays a more comical scene from the film whereas the second shows a variety of clips from the film.

- Both TV spot trailers roughly last for the duration of 30 seconds long and are fast paced. During this time period, much of the plot is revealed to the audience, enticing them to want to watch the film immediately, which is the reason TV spot commercials tend to be shown close to the release date of the film. Both trailers have an exact date the film is scheduled to be released displayed on screen.

- Both official trailers are considerably longer than both the other forms of trailers. Each full-length trailer reveals a basic outline of the film's plot and vary the pace of editing throughout the trailer.
