Analysing fonts - Introduction
Choosing a font is important since not only does it add value to your film, however it allows audiences to instantly percieve infromation about the film just from the text. Different genres use different types of fonts, I need to pick a selection of potential fonts that will be appropriate for my film, indicating the genre.
I will use the follwoing websites to find appropriate fonts:
DaFont
This website is useful since the fontas are free to dowload. It is also helpful since they split fonts into different groupings, there are four different categories that are good for horror fonts.
Font Meme
This splits fonts into neat sub-categories with particular genres on films that exist, however, the fonts cost.
Lino Type
Lino Type does not split films into categories of genres, however, it does have a film categories which is helpful.
FontYukle
These fonts are free however are not split into any categories therefore makes it hard to find genre specific fonts to use.
